"Obama ??....WTF"....WTF.!!

On the day of announcement of Nobel Peace Prize to Mr.Barack Obama , the majority of the list on my gtalk sm'ed only one thng "WTF". I really don't understand this exclamation ..is it out of surprise or the dislike or someother thing. Well, I dont see the any wtf aspects here.

I do accept the surprise of the news ,but never felt the news to be shocking . Frankly speaking I am not very much into American politics(infact any :) ).So donno much about this person.but once i learn t that this person has been given THE noble peace prize which bestowed itself on Mother Theresa , my interest started around Obama. What made a man in daily news ,the recipient of noble peace prize comparing him on par with nelson Mandela and Mother theresa. And now I know enough about this man,atleast as enough as to answer my friends what made Obama upto the Peace prize.

Many like me knew him only from the American presidential politics view. The first point i knew earlier about him was that a guy named Obama defeated Hillary Clinton in the quest for presidential contestant . But not every shoe polisher is made to sit on the president throne. There's a lot of cali in this guy that made him upto the seat.Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review.He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004.

Now coming the "peace" aspect , as such not every recipient of the award has been a adopter of a slum or the head of a popular non-violence revolution.According to Alfred Noble will ..noble peace prize is supposed to be awarded to " who shall have done the most and best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses" .But this description ends here and there was no any specific rules given out in the will.

 In my aspect this peace prize is something that testimonies the act of a person which finally led to a harmless change in society.For instance Wangari Muta Maathai , the recipient of noble peace prize 2004, is an environmentalist and she was the first environmentalist to receive the award.She received the award on the note of her famous GreenBelt movement that bought about a huge change in environmental conservation. So this infact proves my personal view of awarding THE noble peace prize.

Now Obama has been awarded this Noble Peace Prize on the note of "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." Yes.Obama rightly deserves this noble peace prize for his daring resolutions in American politics(infact world politics).Well after Bush one can rarely expect a man who said "Let me say this as plainly as I can: By August 31, 2010, our combat mission in Iraq will end." .And that man did put up to his words.He within a span of 8 months could bring up America out of the Violent image created by Bush. Its not that Obama won this award just for not being a Bush,he has come into the presidential power with clear objectives and he's dare enough to stand for them.Its ample obvious that he's first ever president to achieve such heights in his first year of tenure.

One can ask me what makes Obama more eligible than gandhi for this noble peace prize.And yes he has a point.But one cannot blame the present owing to the mishap of the past.And one can also ask whether we can include Obama on the list with "Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela,Dalai Lama, KofiAnnan" the answer is "Yes We Can!!!"
